Description:
Shadow Wood Preserve is a 440-acre, gated, master-planned community developed by Bonita Bay Group. The community is bordered by the mangrove fringes of Estero Bay, the Estero Bay Preserve State Park and historic Mullock Creek.
Location:
Located on the west side of U.S. 41 in South Fort Myers, Shadow Wood Preserve is approximately two miles south of Alico Road and five miles north of The Brooks.

The community has approximately 300 homes, including coach homes, villas and single-family homes, built by leading homebuilders in Southwest Florida: Arthur Rutenberg Homes/A.R.B.C. Corp., Harbourside Custom Homes, Keevan Homes, Southern Bay Homes, Taylor Woodrow Communities and Wyman Stokes Builder Inc.
Clubhouse:
The community includes a full-service clubhouse and golf pro shop designed by David Humphrey, the architect who designed the buildings at The Brooks Town Center and The Promenade shops at Bonita Bay. An equipped exercise room adjacent to the pro shop is linked to the clubhouse.
Golf:
Shadow Wood Preserve includes an 18-hole championship golf course, The Preserve, designed by award-winning architect Arthur Hills and built according to Audubon International guidelines. The Preserve is the third course for Shadow Wood Country Club. Residents electing membership in the country club also have full access to the 30,000-square-foot clubhouse at Shadow Wood at The Brooks, with two 18-hole championship golf courses designed by golf course architect Bob Cupp, and a nine-court tennis complex.
Recreation:
A 2.5-acre park along Mullock Creek includes tennis, picnic areas, tot lot, canoe and kayak launch, restrooms and a screened pavilion. Two miles of walking paths and fitness trails provide additional recreational opportunities.
Residents are eligible for membership in Shadow Wood Country Club and The Brooks Commons Club. |
